Will I need to visit your lab in person at any point during this process?

No, our services are entirely remote and available across India. You can order the test online, and we’ll send an easy-to-use sampling kit directly to your address. Once your sample is ready, simply notify us, and we'll arrange for our courier partner to pick it up from your location. The entire logistics process is prepaid and included in the test price.

What type of sample is required for the test?

A stool sample is required. We need a small amount, ideally collected during your first pass in the morning.

I’m currently taking antibiotics. Can I still collect the sample?

No, it's best to collect the sample after you’ve completed your antibiotic course, which typically takes 3-5 days. Wait an additional couple of days (a total of about a week) before collecting the sample. However, if your doctor has advised you to take the test during your antibiotic course, or if you are on long-term antibiotics for a chronic condition, you can collect the sample without waiting. Please be sure to inform us if the sample was collected during or shortly after antibiotic use.

I'm on daily medication for a condition. Can I still collect the sample?

Yes, you can collect the sample without stopping your medications. Please continue taking your medication, especially if it's prescribed for major conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart issues, etc.

Can I collect the sample during my menstrual period?

We recommend avoiding sample collection during your periods for comfort reasons. However, if you're comfortable, you can collect the sample during this time. Just ensure that the sample is free from water, urine, or blood contamination.

Do I need to refrigerate the sample after collection?

No, refrigeration is not necessary. Once collected in the tube, the sample remains stable for up to one month within the protective solution without refrigeration. Simply ensure the tube is tightly capped.

Do I need to send the sample right after collection?

You only need to inform us when the sample is ready for pickup, and we will arrange the pickup shipment. Our logistics partner typically collects the sample within a day or two In the meantime, there's no need to worry about the sample. Once collected in the tube, it remains stable for up to one month in the protective solution without refrigeration. Unlike culture-based tests that require prompt delivery, this is a DNA-based test where the genetic material remains stable in the solution for up to a month.
